Companion Pet Clinic of Gresham 2366 E. Powell Blvd. Gresham, Or. 97080
To Whom It May Concern:
I have been Colleen Staley’s veterinarian since 1993. I have found her bloodlines to be exceptionally strong. I have seen many of her puppies and adult dogs over the years and they have not exhibited any of the inherited diseases that are commonly associated with the breed.
Over the years, many of the puppies she has sold have come back to our clinic as adults for routine care. I have found them to have exceptionally good health and stamina.

To Whom it may concern:
I have known and done business with Colleen Staley for several years.
I have found her to be an outstanding breeder who cares deeply for her puppies and adult dogs. I have been to her home many times and always found her animals to be well cared for, clean and socialized.
Each family who adopts one of her puppies becomes an extended part of her family. Colleen is always available for life time support and advice. Because of her many years as a reputable breeder, she has a wide range of knowledge and always happy to share this knowledge willingly when asked.
Sadly, over the years I have seen many breeders who were only interested in taking my money. Colleen definitely is not one of these!
Her bloodlines are strong and free from congenital problems. That is why I do business with her exclusively when I am in the market for puppies or stud service.
You'll be happy to know that our new puppy is doing so wonderful!!!Our little Finnigan is the Sweetest boy in the world, so smart, really funny, and the best trained young puppy I have EVER met! We have fallen in love with him and so is everyone else!!! I think he likes us JUST AS MUCH, he's having a blast.
The best thing about it ismy allergies are fine! It's pretty amazing!
Unfortunately, I am allergic toEVERYTHING, even my Mom's Bichon Frise, who is SUPPOSED to be Hypo-Allergenic. Having a puppy was always important to me (I LOVE dogs), but I knew it wasn't possible... I can roll around with Finn on the floor, play with him in my face (kisses and all), and hold him for hours without any reaction at all !
GONE. Is my scratchy face,NO eye itching, andNO nasal or breathing problems. This whole thing couldn't be going any better! It's really a little Miracle!
He's happy, playful, learning tricks, constantly making us laugh, and sleeping all night. He's full of little kisses and BIG snuggles. What a SMART kid!
Thank you for everything!

Hi Colleen: (Letter #1)
We are interested in adopting 2 Toy/Mini Labradoodle puppies, a brother and a sister, as companion pets. We recently had a standard sized Labradoodle (F1), Emma, which was the best dog I ever had. We had her for 10 yrs. until she passed away 2 weeks ago. She is now buried in our back yard with a rose bush on top of her grave. I have often said that when, not if, we get another dog, it will be a Labradoodle, but it will have to be much smaller. We just want two great little companions to give a lot of joy and happiness in our home, and recieve a lot of joy and happiness in return.
Hi Colleen (Letter #2)
I just want to let you know that we are very much enjoying the two new members of our family. When I originally looked at your puppy videos on your website, and saw the adorable little minidoodles, I thought to myself "Well, she probably picked the very best puppy for that video, they all can not be that cute". Well ...maybe you did in fact pick the best one for the video, but I can also tell you that Jackson and Beatrix are as cute or cuter to us than any of the adorable puppies on your website, and our expections have been exceeded far more than we ever dreamed possible.
These two little puppies are the sweetest, funniest, most playful, and smartest little puppies we have ever seen. We just love having them in our home. They have so much personality, and they are soooooooooooo loving and affectionate. They are so different, which we like very much. They have their own distinct personalities and character traits.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

Dear Colleen,
Sophie is so friendly and loves everybody!! Our little butterball had gained one pound since the previous week. She nows weighs 7 lbs. 12 oz. and loves to eat! You were sure right about her period of mourning. She woke up on the 7th morning and she was ready to play and be a puppy. She is doing great and I'm madly in love with her.
My vet checked out your web site since he could hardly believe me about a mini labradoodle. She is the first one he has seen and he is fascinated with her along with the rest of the office! My vet was very complimentary about your web site and was impressed with your knowledge of the breed.
Till later,
Sue - Portland, Oregon

Hi Colleen,
I just wanted to let you know that I pick-ed up Cody at the airport and he is the sweetest little guy. He was a little shy on the way home, which I expected because I have been reading up on puppy training.....I also read your puppy talk which is very helpful!
When I got Cody home, he was glad to be out of the crate. We ran around outside and he went through moments of being happy and moments of being shy. It's easy to see he's had a lot of love from you. He just seems to have such a happy sweet disposition. He doesn't leave my side and I'm sure he's still a bit confused.
We are so happy and thankful to have such a precious sweet pup.
I'll write you soon with more updates.
Thanks so much. Tanya, Rick, Noel and Grace - Danville, California

Colleen,
I just want to thank you for this wonderful little dog Sawny. I have had many dogs. But never a puppy this intelligent so young. She picked up on her name the second day she was with me. She has been right by my side ever since, she won't leave me out of sight. At 10 weeks of age I started working with her by doing the clicker training with sit and down. It took her a day to do it by herself by my verbal command. I just can't wait to see what the next day will bring. Some miracle I am sure will happen again. She is such a sweet heart.
Thank you,
Diane - Madison, Wisconson

Hi Colleen,
Our darling Murphy is now one year old. He is the sunshine that keeps us laughing each day. He is mischievious, playful, extremely smart and very loving. He can learn a new trick in only a few minutes and amazes everyone with his intelligence. Murphy can sit, roll-over, play dead, dance, say his prayers, shake hands, turn on a light, play the piano and more. We are working on teaching him to play Beethoven's 5th symphony right now. If he accomplishs that we are going to book him for a national tour.
Murphy weighs only 12 lbs. We wanted a long wavy coat for ease of grooming. It is so beautiful and very low shedding to nearly none at times. His hair looks like a golden powder puff and is about 4 inches long.
Thank you again for our precious little Murph. Every where we go, he goes and he fits perfectly on Linda's lap in the car.
We'll keep in touch,
Austin & Linda - Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Dear Colleen, It was so good to hear from you - I was just getting together some pics of Sailor to send to you. She is doing great - almost 100% potty trained, sweet disposition and so smart - not to mention the cutest dog ever! We are all enjoying her! She was neutered at 5 months and sailed through it with flying colors. She doesn't leave my side and loves to go in the car on outings. She gets along great with other dogs and is very social around all people - we couldn't have asked for a better dog! She weighs about 13 lbs. and the vet thinks she probably won't get much bigger - a perfect size. I will get the pictures to you this week. Lets keep in touch - I have been following your website so I know all about the new puppies.
Happy Holidays!

Hello Colleen,
After a rough first night, Up every hour to go out, Puppy seems to have adapted quite well! Only got up once last night. We have decided to name him Lucky because we feel very lucky to have found him and you! The best part is seeing Veronica holding and baby talking to our new pup. I have to confess to you that was a sight I thought I would never see, because of her allergies to other dogs.
The kids are so happy and doting and Lucky is already chasing balls although the retriever hasn't come out in him yet, but it's early. Thanks for teaching us the no bite command as he seems to think our toes are part of fun time! I'm glad to know that we don't have to worry about people colds because we have a long line of friends waiting to see our "cutest little puppy". Ian also thought it necessary to cancel a New Years Eve invitation because he wanted to spend it with his new puppy. New Year, New Dog, New Life! Wish us luck! Thank You Colleen, for everything! We'll all come visit sometime since we're in the neighborhood and practically related.
Thanks again,
Duff, Veronica & Family

Dear Colleen,
You will never know the comfort, companionship and joy my darling little Rolex has brought to me.
I had just started chemotherapy at the time my family adopted Rolex from you. During all the months of recovery and bed rest Rolex never left my side.Even as a puppy, he seemed to sense that I needed him close to me. He would never move until he knew I was awake. Somehow, he understood that his being close to me was important
One night I awoke and opened my eyes. There was Rolex still on duty beside me.His beautiful black eyes illuminated by the bed lamp looked like shinning black pearls. He looked at me and never moved except for his tail, which started to wag. I reached out and only had enough strength to stroke his fur, easing my discomfort.
I know my recovery has had a lot to do with Rolex being with me at all times. The interesting thing is that when my grandchildren came to visit, he would instantly go into “puppy mode” and play and chase them all over the house.
What a miracle he has been for me.Thank you for my Rolex!
Sarah

Hi Colleen,
I was telling my little Sophie girl what a good girl she is and thought I would update you. Sophie turned 2 in May and has the tender heart of a baby. She is truly a big baby and I wouldn't trade her for the world. The neighborhood loves her and there isn't a soul she doesn't know and greet with a wagging tail plus kisses, if you would let her mother you in kisses. My elderly father is facing some health challenges and she doesn't leave his side. If she thinks he needs something, she comes and gets me or gives a bark that clearly says I had better check on dad. Recently he spent me extended time in a facility and she made daily visits to him plus cheering up the other residents.
I frequently check your website and love seeing all the new pictures of the puppies. Maybe someday Sophie can have a new sister, but for now we just love our baby girl.

Hi Colleen, (1st Letter)
I just realized that I have not given you any updates on our baby girl -Rosie. I would say her number
1 positive feature is - how loving she is. Mark is in Australia this week and Rosie has slept with me without any problems at all. She is especially sweet and cuddly in the morning and feels it is important to wash our faces when we wake up.
When Rosie had been home a couple of weeks, she started to bark during play and we wondered if your claims for a quiet dog would be true. That stage passed and now when she barks, it usually means she has to go out side.
She loves people and is so cute that everyone wants to pet her. She is happy to provide kisses if they want them. I am sure you remember I had a very hard time choosing a puppy because I was still hurting from the loss of Sadie (our Yellow Lab). The grief was cured almost immediately by having little Rosie. Her running around the house somehow makes everything seem just right now.
Congratulations on your new litter. I hope they are all as sweet as Rosie.

Hi Colleen, (Letter #2)
A year and a half ago, when we met you, I was still grieving the loss of our beloved 10 year old lab, Sadie. As I carried my new puppy out to the car the day we picked Rosie up, I began to cry because I immediately felt relief from my grief. As time went by, it was obvious that Rosie had a wonderful, loving temperament. She seemed the most content when she was cuddled up against someone. Because of the joy she brought me, I dreamed of sharing her with hurting people.
I have been a hospital nurse for 26 years and have seen how patients miss their pets.My father was in the hospital for 23 days and before Rosie was even a year old, (with permission from his nurse); we took her to his room to visit. I was amazed. She laid quietly at his feet the entire time we were there. It seemed like she instinctively knew how important it was to be still and quiet in the hospital. After that experience, I was even more motivated to complete the process of making Rosie a therapy dog.
Rosie and I are nowa Pet Partner team, registered with the Delta Society and affiliated with the Oregon Humane Society. We have been volunteering at SW Washington Medical Center, visiting the orthopedic and surgical floors.
Yesterday, a patient asked to see Rosie and wanted her to be up on the bed with him. He choked up as he loved on Rosie. His condition seemed serious and there was no question that Rosie brought him comfort.
The week before, a young man who had just had surgery asked if Rosie could lay on the bed with him? He was in a lot of pain, and with tears in his eyes he reached out to Rosie and was comforted as he ran his hand through her coat for about 15 minutes.
Rosie receives so many compliments when we're in the hospital. Everyone comments on how cute and well behaved she is. Consistently, people remark on her sweet temperament and her calmness, especially when they learn that she is only a year and a half old.
I have attached a picture of Rosie sitting on Mark's legs as he works at our desk. It's important that she stays practiced up on her lap-sitting skills for her job.
