The following photos were taken when we had a litter of Standard size Labradoodles and a litter of Toy/Mini-Labradoodles born at the same time. This gave us the rare opportunity to get photos that show the comparison in size of the puppies from each litter as they grew from birth to the time they went to their new homes. As you will see, at birth the standards are about twice the weight of the mini's, (8 ozs vs 16 ozs). At 6 weeks of age the standards are 4-5 time bigger than the toy/mini's (2 lbs. vs 10 lbs). By 9 weeks the size difference is dramatic in pounds (5 lbs vs 22 lbs) although the ratio remained pretty much the same. The most dramatic difference is in the adult sizes. The adult standard litter puppies finished out between 55 lbs to as much as 100 lbs, while the adult weight from the Toy/Mini litter is ranging from approximately 9 lbs.to 19 lbs.

EVERYTHING'S COMING UP ROSES
Hi Colleen,
Please do not be shocked by the enclosed photo. As you know we have both a standand and a mini Labradoodle, which we adopted from you. They say a picture speaks a thousand words. We REALLY should have adopted another mini from you instead of a full size Labradoodle. Lisa said I have 15 years of yard pick up ahead of me. Oh Boy, that sounds like a lot of fun! We had not thought of this aspect of dog ownership and now we know that "size does mattter". Otis, our standard, consumes a 40 lb. bag of food in 3 weeks. Little Lucy, our Mini, takes 4-5 months to finish a 40 lb. bag of dog food. As you know I am a math teacher and I figure the cost of feeding Otis over 15 years will about $9,900 at $38.00 a bag. The cost to feed Little Lucy will only be about $1,800.
This photo is proof that they do EVERYTHING together. (I added the roses to the photo, Lisa wanted you to know)
We really love them both and we are still smiling, but our bed is getting a little crowded.
